The stock system on the ur-quattro is stainless with mild steel boxes. It's
often possible to "rescue" a holed stock system by welding in a new (stainless)
box.

I had about three after-market exhausts on my old 80CD in five years - I
switched back to real Audi ($$$) and it lasted until I sold the car five years
later. I have an after-market back end on the ur-quattro now, and it's
dropping to pieces.
