 Aren't Audi weird? My 1982 80CD had a 5-cylinder carburettor engine, and
quite
a few in the UK had the injection version. These cars were identified by
the
"5S" and "5E" badges on the grill. They went to a 4-cylinder only (and
badged
it "Sport") when the Audi 90 came out.

Wrong on the first message.. Not all 4000 non quattros had the 4 cylinder
engine. 2 models had the 5...the 1981-2 4000 5+5 and the 1981(2 and 3?) 4000
automatic. On the second message, Phil, I think we got the equivilant of
your car with the 5+5, but I may be wrong...
