New A4 info...

Well, maybe not new, but I haven't been following the list
too closely lately. Forgive me if this is old news.

Just talked to Kevin, my local Audi salesman. He just
got back from a week at Ingolstadt.  Audi has given them
a committment to certify and ship the A4 Avant (wagon)
in manual transmission.  Kevin guesses that we can expect
to see the A4 Avant tiptronic around Oct/Nov, and the
manual tranny version perhaps 2 months afterwards.

Also, the new 2.8 5-valve is closer than I thought...
in port, in fact. Won't be released from port until
June, but they're here...
