The best way to upgrade the brakes and keep the 14"rims would be to switch to a good pad like the 
Pagids or the Cool Carbons. Drilling the rotors _may_ be worthwhile but IMO don't bother unless 
the car is seeing track time and then only if your'e seeing excessive fade...

The hot set-up is the girling 60's and the 288mm rotor's, this is a bolt-on, but it will require 
15" rims.
