A double edged sword, Paul. The mechanical end of the job isn't difficult at
all, very little precision work involved, it's pressing in such a large seal
evenly into a recessed area that's tough. I suppose you could fabricate a
tool to perform the same function, but the time and effort to create such a
tool might not be worth it vs. purchasing it to begin with. I got mine
through Zelenda in NY, USA. It wasn't the usual forged Audi-style tools I'm
used to. It's a composite/plastic setup that was fragile enough that I
fractured it the first time I used it. Thanks again for Zelenda warranty.
I've no idea what I paid for the setup, but 40$ seems right. If you've got
the Bentley or equivalent, read over the procedure before tackling it.
