60 minutes all over again...

Well, now I'm pissed. It looks like there is going to be another
"unintended acceleration" story, this time done by Primetime on ABC on
the Jeep Cherokee. This story, I found out, is IDENTICAL to the story
run against Audi ten years ago by 60 minutes. ABC's "expert" for this
story is, get this, the National Car Wash Foundation, who says they had
problems with Cherokee break pedals at car washes.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling, it just irks me to see the press ready
to ruin another perfectly good car company. This story just pisses me
off a little more since my dad's good friend, Roy Lund, was the original
designer and builder of the Jeep Cherokee, having built the first one in
the basement of his house. This just hits too close to home for me. I
have flamed (no I didn't cuss them out) ABC, to let them know how bogus
I think their story is, several times tonight. I'm not expecting those
ass holes to reply at all though... In case there are other Cherokee
and Grand Cherokee owners that want to stand up for their vehicles, as I
have, you can email ABC at netaudr@abc.com
Audi enthusiasts, who may not own a Jeep, I would encourage to send
email to ABC as well, to let them know that this kind of thing is NOT
cool. It's one thing if you have REAL experts doing the tests, but not
people who f@#^ up by standing on the accelerator instead of the brake.

This may not do anything, but it may help vent some anger. I made sure
to let them know how the thing with Audi backfired on 60 minutes, so if
enough people flame the networks, then maybe they'll get a clue... NOT.

Best Regards,

Mark Nelson (proud Cherokee owner, and VERY pissed at the moment)
