Neat story. I was recently rear-ended in a 1989 90. The car was totalled 
but the passenger and I walked away. The safety issue is usually a 
footnote until you're in an accident (or in a close call). All of a 
sudden Mercedes/Audi/Volvo/etc. don't seem so expensive any more.
