Unless you play around with different offset wheels front-to-rear and/or
flaring the fenders, they're correct ... by doing the former, though, I've
got 8x17s w/ 215/45-17s under the unmodified fenders on my '89 200q and
Graydon Stuckey has fit 225/50-16s on the back of his '86 5ktq and even
larger tires (245/45-16) on the front (I can't wait to see this setup in
person!).

Check out the archives ... there are all sorts of lower priced alternatives
