Thanks unraveling bleed through!
Thanks Guys. Found and fixed the problem on my 85 5000S with the left rear
brake light bleeding through to the front left blinker.
A couple of you suggested checking the harness where it comes into the
trunk lid. Yep, there were frayed wires. Fixed it but still had bleed
through.
One of you advised me to check ground, socket corrosion and such. Yep,
there was some corrosion. Fixed it but not the problem.
One of you had me check to make sure I had a double, instead of a single
element bulb. Yep, Had a single element bulb. put in a double element and
problem solved!
Boy, and I thought I had already inspected my wiring thoroughly before
writing to the list. I swear it must have been the bad lighting that day,
trust me...you will, won't you ; - )
Anyway, as you can tell all of you helped me find some fault. Even though
it appears that the light bulb was the culprit, all the rest of it needed
attention, too.
Thanks alot everybody, found this list a couple of weeks ago and am totally
amazed and hooked. Hope I,too, can help somebody solve a mystery some day.
Thanks,
Herb
