Re: ignition switch & steering lock Audi 90
This is a TSB and should be covered under the recall warranty. I have seen
this TSB in several locations; Alldata and the NHTSB web site (posted on
the list a few days ago. Search for "Secret Warranties in the archives).
The safety issues was that in extreme cases the broken pin could cause the
diver to lose control of the vehicle.
The action was to replace the unit with a stronger pin.
Contact your dealer for more info. If they give you problems, I can dig up
the TSB for you.
