Audi in F1

FWIW, the following has been around on the F1 related sites for a few days.

German car manufacturer Audi is reportedly interested in acquiring a stake
in the Benetton Formula One team. Audi Sport
Director, Wolfgang Ullrich, would neither confirm or deny the rumours. Audi
has been previously linked with Benetton, as a
possible supplier back when Michael Schumacher drove for the team. Despite
denials by Alessandro Benetton, the chairman of
the Benetton team, the Oxfordshire based team is thought to have been on
sale at the right price for some time now. 

Ullrich did say however "Our position on doing Formula 1 isn't different to
last year and two years ago and we didn't do it then."
