You have obviously been there!

I went back earlier today to check the ignition connections and re-torque
the plugs, and sure enough, I had inadvertently pulled off the vacuum
connection to what I guess is the central locking or low-range engagement
mechnisms (just to the left of the hydraulic oil reservoir - a green
"plastic" tube?)  Not surprisingly, the idling settled down and I was able
to set it using the screw on top of the throttle body (you guys haven't
corrected me on this one yet so I assume I'm doing the right thing?)
