New Konis for the V8
After nearly 10 months, I finally have my koni dampers for the V8.
They came in from being revalved yesterday and got them installed
today. I could not believe the crappy struts they took out! The
previous owner felt the need to get Monroe :-p for the car. Yuk! As
you might expect, there has been a significant improvement in both ride
and handling. I guess I should mention that for now the fronts are set
to full soft and the rears are one turn from soft. Less body roll,
pitch and dive now and yet overall road comfort is excellent. Much
better than I expected and the car has the Annette seal of approval for
ride(we'll see if that stays when the springs go in). The car has some
understeer near the limit and that should be dialed out as I sort out
the suspension. New springs should be in during the next few weeks, so
I will give a full report on the whole suspension when it is completed.
Now for the exhaust... ;-)
