I totally agree. Pk, you're NOT getting dusted by Civics, trust
me. I drove a Civic EX (VTEC engine) before my A4Q 2.8. The
Civic may feel more exciting in some cases, but that's a subjective
feel that's due in part to the refined nature of the A4Q.
The A4Q pulls strong from just under 3k right through redline,
with an almost electric-engine smoothness. It's not an M3 beater,
or a 328i beater, by any means... unless you happen to care more
about the overall driving experience, or unless it happens to
be raining, or...
If you want a bit more performance, there's always the
throttle body mod, which you surely know about after having checked
the archives. Also, if you really want performance, someone has
a supercharger mod which goes for somewhere around 4k; again,
check the archives for info.
