EQ Installation
Just thought I would tell everyone of my recent adventure. Has anyone ever
noticed that the center air vent in a 4k is the exact same size as a DIN
location (standard stereo size). Well, I did. I removed the vents, and
removed the vent holder. After that, I pulled the glove box out and pulled
that air condition ducts off of their housing and pulled the hose through
where the glove box was. This then gave me the room I needed. I then
sealed off the two air conditioning openings with some silicone and some
plastic. Then, I realized that this dash support was going to get in my
way, so, I got the old rotary tool out and got rid of it. Then, I was
done! I let that sit for a couple of days to let the silicone dry. So,
yesterday the EQ comes in (Sony XE744 full digital EQ/crossover). After
running a couple of wires and mounting everything, it was good to go and
looking good.
I will have some pictures of it up soon, along with pictures of my car. If
anyone has questions about putting an EQ or a head unit up there, feel free
to ask.
