I priced the bezel for my 82 coupe at the dealer.  Same price you quote. 
Sounds like a "no-volume" part to me!

And since I need a pair with intact screw holes and "tabs", junkyards just
aren't going to have them.  (I asked at a local yard, "got any coupe
headlight bezels" and they said "no, but we have a picture of a bunch". 
They had just crushed their pre-'85 inventory...)
