Car polishes
Well, I washed my car for the first time today, taking the time to notice all
of the warts and blemishes.
I used Liquid Glass pre-clean and finish (after first washing the car with a
pretty generic liquid car-wash concentrate) and I have to say that I'm
impressed with the results. The pre-clean removed grime I didn't think was
there and the finish was, well, glasseous. There are still some small areas
where there are swirl marks, but these are from a determined effort by the
previous owner to put them there. Otherwise, the paint sparkles, looks like
new, and makes the nicest squeaky-clean sound when you run your hand across
it. It seems to shed water well, as evidenced by a leaky sprinkler in my
parking garage. Also, the Liquid Glass doesn't streak or mar the plastic,
glass, or chrome on the car. I like it, even though the whole process (from
initial wash to final buff) takes 2-3 hours. Buy a bunch of towels for the
job.
