I should comment, to my own email, that I have the desired wiring diagram
(sogar auf Deutsch - man kann mit den Uebersetzungen von Audi nicht eimal
anfangen) and could easily fax it.    Getting my scanner to produce JPGs is a bit
tricky - I can produce TIFF, BMP and PCX with Hewlett-Packard software, and
just about any format known to man via Paul Balme's superb CopyShop/2 - but
which is what the rest of you know as "JPG" - CopyShop/2 knows at least 5
variants?

Anyway, the required diagram is #17.    That is, I assume, if "Modelljahr 1985"
is required.    If it's really "Modelljahr 1986, zugelassen in 1985" then it's
diagram #22.

(And just to show how weird Audi can be - the 1984 model year is #21.)
