Do you think the public at large have now forgotten that Audi,as a 
company,allegedly cheated with the flat plane crank fiasco of some years 
back?As far as I can recall it came to light in the German series,and they 
blustered and phaffed about,instead of coming clean.They said it was a 
standard crank that underwent a different forging process... ;-)Hmmmm!

Bit like having a pig of iron,and saying this Ferrari block is really a Fiat 
Tipos that underwent a different casting process,IMHO.

Or do you think they "got away with it" in the public eye,purely because the 
public didn't understand what they were trying to pull...? 

I have often searched this list for mention of it,but I have yet to see this 
still fairly recent subject mooted.
