Howdy!!...and a question

Hello, group. I'm back from my Pacific NW trip. The final
achievement was driving from Pullman, WA (80 miles south of Spokane)
to Bryan, TX (90 miles N. of Houston) in 3 days. I averaged over
700 miles a day driving my dad's 1996 Ford pickup with a full canopy
in back, a 15' canor lashed on top, and towing a U-Haul double-axle
auto transport carrying my 1958 Fiat Spyder. The whole caravan
proceeded quite nicely down the road at 75 mph! Total trip was about
2125 miles in 3 days.

BUT - about five days after I left, our 1990 200 refused to start.
The key turns but no action at ALL.

My wife took it to our mechanic, who thinks it's the starting switch
on the back of the ignition key cylinder. However, he can't reach it
without de-activating the air bag, then removing the inst. cluster.

His Alldata CD said the air bag connector was behind the driver's
side knee bolster. No dice. My wife took him my Bentleys, which say
it's in the center console.

If anyone knows JUST where the air bag disconnect is on this car,
please shoot me a direct email at once and I'll call him with the
info. Might save me some money as he's having to fish around for it
as I write (10:30 am Central...)

Thanks!
