Ur-Q Suspension Rehaul, pt. II...

Well, it's finished ... for now. After reading of my plight, Graydon
Stuckey jumped on a plane and flew down to help me finish it up last night
(Of course, being the paragon of modesty person that he is, he claims he's
in town on business for GM but *I* know the truth!). As a reward, I've
offered to let him drive it if he can get himself to San Diego this weekend...

A couple of points: 1) if you do this, make sure you liberally douse
everything with penetrating oil first; 2) the later-style control arms are
right- and left-handed; you can't swap them side-for-side the way you can
the early-style ones; 3) you need to use lots of penetrating oil; 4)
remember to re-tighten the strut bearing nuts after you've driven the car a
few miles as the bearings tend to settle a bit once installed; 5) an a/r bar
off a FWD 4k (23mm instead of 25mm) *will* fit but all of the mounting
hardware is different; 6) don't forget that you need to use LOTS of
penetrating oil!

Tonight, I take it over to my co-drivers so we can realign it and then all I
have to do is reinstall the seats and rear deck lid ... this can't be too
difficult, right? :^)
