Here in Arizona, state law allows you to pick the bodyshop of your choice
... the insurance company may not be willing to pay the full amount of the
repair, of course, but they CANNOT steer you to the shop of your choice. For
some reason, though, they ARE allowed to specify which glass shop you use
for windshield replacements...

Anyway, if you ever find yourself in the situation where the insurance
company won't let you use the bodyshop you want, you might check with your
state's insurance regulators to see what they are and are not allowed to do...
