Yes, that's correct.

In their infinite wisdom, the NHTSA (or whoever) decided that the rest
of us should suffer because some imbeciles refuse to wear their
seatbelts. Duh. Nothing new in that though.

Anyway... I'd be interested to know if fitting a Euro spec airbag would
be feasible.

that the US bags are much larger and more powerful because they're based
