RE: More Power for the 5cyl without turbocharging



You are absolutely right about the tranny in the 323.  Fortunately in
our old car, which belonged to Satch Carlson, he had the transmission
and the engine rebuilt at 80K, and when he had the tranny rebuilt, it
was built with no play in the linkage, which is apparently what kills
these things.  You could of course go to a full rally transmission from
Mazda Motorsports for a measly 7 g's =).

Anyway, if you wanted information about Supercharging, you should talk
to Paul Timmermann, who is very well in tune with that stuff.
