I've heard this from a few 4kq drivers, but that's not my trouble. The
guage is rock-steady, and seems to be accurate. ie, cruise at 75 MPH,
level ground, maybe 130 dC, go up a steep (ie, throttle to the floor)
one-mile long hill, pops up to maybe 140 dC, drops back down during the
descent. The ground seems to be good, as the guage is steady with no
electrical load (other than the coil and the FP), with my high-beams on
(~28 A), and the electric heater (~27 A), rear defog, blower fan, etc,
all operating. O'course, the old voltmeter starts to sag under these
conditions . . .

If this truly is too hot (again, between the "130" and "170" marks on a
4kq digi-gauge), what can I do, besides drive slower or turn on the
heater? Can I install an oil cooler? I doubt if the spiffy oil/coolant
heat exchanger off the wife's 4ks would fit. BTW, when I see these
temps, I'm getting enough ram-air that the radiator fan rarely runs.

Further ideas?
