Suspension/ride question...
Q-listers,
ok, let's say, for argument's sake, that I believe that my car's ride
could be improved. For instance, it seems to me that the rebound could be a
bit more controlled and the compression might be a bit more compliant. What
would be the prudent avenue here? I'm thinking about simply upgrading the
shocks/struts (whatever I've got under there), but I'm concerned about
choosing the wrong product.
I've read in the archives that the Bilsteins are a little harsh,
someone's V8 had had Monroe's installed and they were considered junk (why
exactly?), Koni's seem to be the list's darling application. Does anyone
know if the Koni's would offer the benefits that I'm looking for, or are
these "sport" shocks that have a handling over ride compromise? Are there
shocks being produced that offer some measure of adjustibility, and if so,
are they exceedingly expensive (I'm a bit spoiled by my motorcycle's
ability to tailor the shock to the road/rider weight conditions)? Are there
any other brands that I should consider? Last question, my frugal side
would like to know... for the whole shebang, 4 shocks/struts installed,
what dollar range am I talking about here?
