Help: Clinking Sound?

Drive the car around until it's _really_ warm.  Park it for an hour.  Start it 
again, drive off, and stop after three or four minutes.
 
Is the sound louder than when the car is cold?  If _YES_, then it's the exhaust 
manifold - although failure is relatively rare on non-turbo cars.  If _NO_, 
then it might be the lifters - but on a US-spec car it's more likely to be the 
vacuum pump.

You really need to get an "expert ear" near your car.
