was referring to the fact that the EM had been heat treated every time
it was driven ...
That has been my feeling as well ... the casting has a bit of stress in
it from manufacture, which is releived when the EM is heated ... and
I've seen how hot it gets on an urQ! I had my EM resurfaced back in
'86 and haven't heard a tick since ... of course solid lifters and no
vacuum pump help there too ;-)
