Sigh.  I won't respond after this, and I'm sorry to be wasting
bandwidth.  But this is really silly.

This is a simple falsehood. Trouble is, "engineering" covers many
disciplines.  My company calls me an engineer. I call myself an
engineer. My school calls me an engineer... in addition to an
MS, I have two degrees that have that title written in really
neat-looking letters, a Bachelor of Engineering and a
Master of Engineering.  In my fields of study and work, a PE
is pretty meaningless, and I'd bet that less that 0.1% of my
colleagues have them.

So that paddy wagon had better be pretty darned big.
