O.K.  First off, that's a very low mileage V8 in any case and congratulations
on your purchase.
This topic hits close to home.  You see, my Instrument cluster was replaced
at 47,191 miles for 
a misbehaving trip/feul consumption cumputer.  Speedo was not available
separately and so came with the new cluster.  So the dealer placed an
odometer replacement sticker on the drivers door (below the door latch)
indicating such along with a stamp to this effect in the service book front
page.  So check there first.   Do you have the red service book?  The new
cluster read 000000, so I always have to add that figure to my indicated
mileage.  If I ever have to remove the instrument cluster, I'll have the
local speedo calibration and VDO authorized repair shop reset to actual
mileage (Hey, I'm proud of this cars mileage).
