Re: Oil circulators

Anton,
Turbo timers are available for many turbo cars and cost around a
couple of hundred bucks, I am not sure if they have them available for
Audi products. but I have a Supra Turbo with over 300hp (and I use
it!!) and all I do is wait for a couple of minutes at idle after a blast. I
haven't bothered to buy one and am quite happy to let the car idle
and, if I have nothing handy to read, I get my shop manual out of the
glovebox and read it while I wait :-)
I also have used Mobil1 ONLY since 1000mile break in and most of my
Turbocharged friends also use purely synthetic in their turbos.
If you have a garage, one way to make your rubber and plastic last
longer is, after idling the car, raise the hood before you put the Iron
Mistress to bed for the night. You will be amazed how quickly the heat
dissipates when you do this. Just replaced my water and power steering
hoses after 9 years and, amazingly, they were in excellent condition,
even the turbo water coolers hoses VERY VERY adjacent to the manifold
and turbocharger!
