Bad subframe bushings can cause this and so can bad upper strut bearings ...
before I took the car apart to confirm this, though, I'd double-check the
wheel balance and alignment.  You'd be surprised how casual some shops can
be about these things.  You should also check the wheels and tires for
run-out problems...
