If you hit one in Germany, a h@ll of a lot of money.
 
If you report wild animal damage (wild pigs or deer) the authorities will want 
to see the animal.  If it's still under the car, fine.  If, however, it escaped 
into the forest - _OH_ _BOY_!!!
 
The entire local forester organisation will be called out to find and, if 
appropriate, treat or kill the animal.  And - guess who pays?
