Attention all Q-listers w/Sears DieHard batteries
I have learned, through an employee, that Sears Automotive is
making up for another transgression. Remember when CA nailed
them for making unnecessary repairs and they had to reimburse
customers nationwide as part of the settlement? Well now its
batteries. Apparently they sold a lot of used DieHards as if
they were new. To make up for this, they'll replace your old
DieHard with a new one. The "catch" is that you have to ASK!
I haven't seen this publicized anywhere yet, but it's a fact.
You have to go in and tell them that you suspect that you got
a used battery instead of a new one. Employees are given the
latitude to immediately replace your battery, without needing
a work order, your old receipt, or a further "complaint desk"
discussion. For those of you with Audi, Interstate, or other
batteries, tough luck. I however, have three brand new fresh
DieHards, good for another six years I'm sure. HTH --Gary
