Help I.D. a 4000CSQ?????

OK, many of you have heard me talk about the Brumos Audi 4000CSQ in my town
(showed up recently.)  I finally got a good look at it, and the stripes,
which had followed the roof gutters and come down the C pillar terminating in
the Brumos sticker, had been carelessly removed.  So, too, had the black
cloth recaros.  Real recaros, with RECARO stiched in each.  It had some cheap
seats instead.  Has Bosch Driving lights, a black rear dech spoiler (also
looked thrown on)  A Nardi steering wheel, and (This is the real stumper)
Brock Yates signiture on the tail, where CS should be.  The 4000 and audi had
been removed, the audi being relocated to the left (immediate) of the quattro
badge.  The car has a single outlet exhaust, nothing special (Midas??)
 Weird....not in very good shape, either.  Any ideas?  Did Brock Yates own a
4000CSQ?  Tuned by Brumos?
