My wife have an honda civic 1991,the a\c system work good w\R12 but the
high pressure hose was broken bcause battery miss-application,well, fix
the hose and change the battery as well an change to 134a an only I have
to do was replace all o'ring, check evaporator (cleaner too)check
condenser(cleaner too).I don't even change oil compresor and don't
change the dryer.This was in march of this year, temperature in PR are
in a dry day is 85 deg. to 93 deg. the car runs good,never have problem 
with the temp. of my car wife about 180-195 deg.nver put another fan in
front of condenser well,seems to me good to change to 134a the car have
now 86500 miles.And better of that, work (to me and my opinion to)better
than R12.
Remember cost about 3/4 less than R12

BUT I FITTED A 10V TURBO ENGINE WORKING FOR NOW STAY TUNE!
