Re: Ram Air
This is a popular topic on the Toyota Supra listing.
Stock filter is restrictive but has pseudo ram air effect by intake
facing forward and being cut into metal bulkhead behind pop-up
headlamp. When replaced with afternarket filter you end up having more
CFM capacity but it comes from underhood air which, in the case of a
turbocharged car, is VERY warm! There is a modification on our board
(www.supras.com/tips.htm) using 4" and 3" metal dryer hose (amongst
other things). Others on the board have used this with great effect and
I will be using it on mine next week.
NAC - I can't wait to drive the twin-turbo V6 Audi when it comes
out....I think I have sold the wife on trading her A4q 2.8 slushbox for
one! - Any news on whether this will be A6 based and is it still 1998
intro?
