Turbo coolant line fixed!

Guys,

I mentioned in a previous post that I had to replace the coolant
line going from the turbo to the upper rad hose spigot casting thingy (I
don't know what its called - it would be a thermostat housing in a
regular car, but the thermo is down below) :-)

Anyway, I drove all over Flint looking for a shop that had metric
fittings. I finally found one so if anyone needs to replace that hose
on your car, I can get these made, and sell them to you (yes at a small
profit, to cover expenses etc.) YOu can do it yourself as easily as I
did, but if anyone doesn't want to search all over town fro these rather
rare fittings, then I'lll be glad to help. The fittings BTW are M14x1.5
in the turbo centre housing, M16x1.5 on the adaptor that goes into the
housing, and the banjo fitting on the rad hose housing is also an
M14x1.5. I cut the swaged portion off the banjo fitting, and slid the
3/8 hose that I bought over the edge of the banjo fitting, and clamped it
with a hose clamp. The end thast goes on the turbo has a nice crimped
on fitting wiht a built-in 90 deg bend. The hose is bright blue also,
so it looks very trick. :-)
