installing an alarm

How complex is the unit.  Does it tap into the door locks, dome light, starter 
relay, etc?  The more complex it is, the more of a PITA it is to install, and 
the more that could go wrong, and the more you should find an experienced 
installer to do it, unless you're privy on the electrical system in your car.  
My car is bare bones with hardly any accessories, and the wiring under the 
dash is a mess!  I shudder at the thought of what the wiring on a V8 is like!
