Re: nz ur-q owner

hello andrew,

welcome to the kiwi quattro club (actually there is no such thing; maybe there
should be). the 1985 is a good model, i looked at a very straight one here in
wellington on the week-end. $28k (aka $25k) and the previous owner had spent
$15k, so not much needed to be done. and most of us ur-quattro owners know the
"out of pocket" feeling :-)

which car did you buy? nz new or import? how much? spec?

re: imperial to metric

it is a function of the trip computer, i always get this wrong, but if you hold
down the left arrow on the computer you change the trip from overall miles to
trip miles. holding down the right arrow should change from imperial to metric
(i think - i'll check when i get home).

re: brakes.

check your brake fluid level first.

re: front diff locking.

the front diff doesn't actually lock. on your ur-quattro model (mb) the centre
and rear diff lock manually (swithc on lower dash). what are the symptoms?

give me a call if you need more info (04) 473-5544 (a/h 025 455-059).
