Warped Rotor Madness: post "Glen" trauma

Hi folks...I got called out of town on a family deal for a few days so I've
been unresponsive..so, first, thanks for the advice on my newly warped
rotors.  I may still replace them, but here's a poor man's fix.

Last Wednesday night I re-torqued all the lug nuts on the car to 85lbs,
then hit I-95 North of Boston and took the car up to 80-90 miles per hour
about seven or eight times and brought her straight down to 40 or so (while
aiming myself for un-occupied stretches of highway) by hammering the
brakes.  I then continued on my way home at hi-way speeds for the next 15
miles.  Besides getting a lot of really nasty and funny looks from people
on the highway 15 minutes earlier, the vibration is now hardly noticeable
except under very heavy braking.  Is this too good to be true...ie: have I
just postponed the inevitable?
