In the same vein, I have an '83 UrQ that the driver's window now will not
go down. It has been painfully slow for the last 2 years (especially in
winter) and in some ways have been waiting for the regulator to fail so I
could replace it. Took it apart yesterday and the cable to pull the
window down has separated from the regulator unit (if I pull the window
down I can use power to raise it).
I gave my fiendly neighbourhood Audi dealership a call and the
replacement unit is CA$445!
Questions:
1- any other sources? (I have been told these are not the same as Coupe
regulators)
2- Is a rebuild possible?
3- Doesn't this seem like a lot of money?
4- Why is the sky blue?
Thanks,
Kevin Bent
