Is it a Bose? (Assume there's something special about the eq in the
head unit.) And does the led _always_ flash when the radio is off, even

Yes, it's a BOSE. And yes (that's the somewhat annoying part) the led always
flashes when the radio is not switched on, but unles it's night-time, I
really wouldn't notice. Encourages you to listen to the radio/tape.

Sure, if your delta in the V8 isn't a BOSE (not likely).
