S4 Purchase...need advice

OK.  I sold the boat, the motorcycle, and traded the '87 5000CSQ for a '92 S4.
(Got the S4 last Friday.  Have not driven it much yet...waiting for tires).
I traded the 5000 because it needed work (fuel pump, hydraulic pump, starter),
and I didn't want to deal with selling it myself.  Anyway...

1) What are the weak points on the S4...what is going to cost me big bucks?
   (I just ordered tires from TireRack for $170 each...that's a start...).

   I had a '90 V8 for a year and the brakes, computer chips, and Oxygen sensor
   were trouble...I'm hoping for better luck with the S4.

2) I'm looking for the best COORDLESS radar detector I can find.  Any
   suggestions?
