The door pin switch is located in the B-pillar for the front doors and in the C-pillar
for the rear ones. Evidently it shorts to the ground in which case the interior lights
will stay on with the door closed.

OTOH, what is a better way to pass a crash course in the Electrical-Nightmares-R-Us

P.S. That was all jokes. At least a third of the list (myself including) would go for
hours, telling you why Audi is the best marque in the world and why they wouldn't
consider buying anything else.
