ok all i figured it out after i finally found the circuit diagram 
booklet..it blew the 10 amp fuse that connects the wires to the car.  Is 
this just a normal fuse that i can go down to the hardware store and pick 
up, or is this some special thing that i will have to go to the good guys 
for...anyway, thanks for the help...and the removal ended up needing 
these wierd hook things that slide between the mounting bracket and the 
radio...but the guys who installed the radio still have them so i 
improvised with butter knives...hehe...
