perhaps the WA burearcracy is more efficient than the CA one? it is not
about being "liberal". if the cost of processing an uncontested ticket
exceeds the cost of the tax then the REOs will ignore you. a cop told me
that himself.. (not a very smart one too, giving away trade secrets
without knowing it)
in WA, the break even point is 10mph over. don't you remember that they
raised the fines not too long ago? it was to cover the increased
processing costs. 20mph over used to be under $100.
the cost of a defence may exceed the cost of the ticket, but then you are
forgetting the other sharks. insurance. i paid $350 for a lawyer last
year and that is pocket change compared to the insurance surcharge that
i will be getting. $4K/yr vs. $1.1K/yr for the porker...
i'd call the mucklestones; they seem to be accumulating a reputation for
being unbeatable traffic lawyers.
