Yes, it may be very well worth now. A4 Avant is (as I know) available,
but the big question is, shouldn't you buy a Passat Wagon later this or
next year in the U.S. (It's bigger, cheaper than A4 Avant - but the
car will be VERY Audi-like).
I am sure, the euro-A4 has no EPA sticker (even if it is basically the
same car). Ask your DMV. Usually they don't like this kind of "import".
Tell them, your uncle from Germany immigrates to the U.S. and he doesn't
want to buy an other car after he got his nice A4 Avant. They will tell
you, what is the regulation in your state.
I've seen REAL grey imports in CT - so it should be feasable.
