Alternative antenna ideas for a 200q...

The center console of my 200q has been apart for several months while I've
putzed around with installing an updated stereo system and it's time I
finally get this particular project wrapped up.  (You know you've let
something go to long when your girlfriend starts making jokes about it!)

The last stumbling block is figuring out what to do about the antenna ...
for my purposes, the OEM setup is garbage -- I can't even receive all of the
local Phoenix stations let alone the ones from Tucson, 140 miles southeast!
-- and I plan to install an external one instead.  For both cosmetic and
budgetary reasons (i.e., I've already got one!), I'd like to mount one of
the short amplified Fubas in front of the sunroof opening rather than at the
rear of the roof ... it looks to me like it will fit easily enough but
snaking the antenna cable up to it might be difficult.  Has anyone done this
and/or have any tips to share?  I'd really hate to make a mistake in this
area since I just know it'll be costly to repair if I do...
