What, no Audis?!? (Subie city...)

I went backpacking in Alaska last week, and if that place isn't the
mecca of AWD/4WD, I don't know what is.  Disturbingly, though, I only
saw 6 Audi quattros!  3 4000 quattros, one 100CS quattro, and two slick
late-model 90 quattros.

On the other hand, _every other car_ was a Subaru.  I am not kidding,
I saw more Subarus in my first day in Alaska than I have ever seen in
my entire life.

This really suprised me, as I would expect Audi to have a significant
presence in Alaska.  If anywhere in the US needs AWD, it is certainly
Alaska.
